Work with an experienced REALTOR® to understand the fair market value of your home as well the local market trends for your neighborhood! Depending on market conditions it is generally better to price your home slightly below market value to bring more buyers into your home versus those similar homes priced higher.
Make repairs and recommended improvements: Buyers prefer homes that are well maintained, clean and clutter-free. Some home improvements that address the anticipated needs of buyers boosts how quickly your home sells and can improve the sale price. If possible, fix any major issues and consider cosmetic improvements. Your REALTOR® should provide a detailed list of what should be addressed to help your home sell more quickly.
Declutter and depersonalize: Buyers need to be able to imagine their possessions in the home - and they also want rooms that are spacious and easy to clean. Taking the time to remove any clutter, trash or personal items helps buyers envision the space more easily and makes the rooms seem bigger!
